Our Mission
Static Site Hosting UK was built with a simple belief: developers in the UK deserve a hosting platform that doesn’t require them to send their data — or their visitors’ data — across the Atlantic.
Every major static site host is US-based. That means your analytics data, form submissions, and visitor information flows through US infrastructure, subject to US jurisdiction. We think there’s a better way.
Privacy by Design
Privacy isn’t a feature we bolted on — it’s the foundation everything is built upon.
- No cookies — our analytics never set cookies or use local storage
- No personal data collection — we don’t track individual visitors
- No fingerprinting — visitor counting uses HyperLogLog with daily-rotating salted hashes
- No third-party trackers — zero external scripts loaded on your sites
- Form data is never stored — submissions are relayed to you and immediately discarded
- No data selling — we make money from paid plans, not from your data
GDPR Compliance
We are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018.
- Data residency — all infrastructure is hosted in the UK
- No US cloud providers — we don’t use AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Cloudflare
- Your data stays put — no transfers to US jurisdiction
- No cookie consent banners needed — because we don’t use cookies for tracking
- Data minimisation — we collect only what’s necessary to provide the service
- Right to deletion — delete your account and all associated data is removed
Infrastructure
Our platform runs entirely on UK infrastructure:
- DNS — Hetzner DNS for subdomain management
- TLS — Let’s Encrypt certificates provisioned on-demand
- No CDN middlemen — your sites are served directly from our UK-based edge

- Open source tools — built with Hugo, Jekyll, Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Caddy
